Ziniare: A delegation from the National Land Coordination Authority (ANCF), led by the head of the studies department, Charles Dalla, representing the technical secretary Sibiri Hebie, visited Ziniare, Oubri region, on Monday to support the establishment of an industrial zone. This approach is part of the President of Faso’s desire to accelerate the country’s industrialization.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on June 14, 2025, during his meeting with the nation’s vital forces, the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, made a commitment to provide each region with an industrial zone. The ANCF, in conjunction with the technical services, is tasked with removing land-related obstacles and securing the identified sites.
In Ziniare, the delegation held a working session with the Governor, the relevant regional structures, and the special delegation of the commune, before going to the Zagbega site chosen to host the future industrial zone.
Charles Dalla noted that the municipality of Ziniare had already included a land reserve in its master development plan. “The fact that this initiative was taken into account in previous documents will facilitate land mobilization in the coming days,” he said, expressing satisfaction with the progress made.
Regional Director of Urban Planning and Industry, Celestin Zoungrana, emphasized that land remains the main obstacle to industrial development. “Many units are being set up in residential areas due to a lack of suitable space. Securing dedicated sites will help boost industrialization,” he said.
The president of the Ziniare special delegation, Florent Dabone, recalled that 160 hectares have been reserved in the master plan for the industrial zone, located in Zagbega, along the RN3. “The proximity to Ouagadougou is an asset that will reduce transport costs and attract more investors,” he maintained.
With around thirty companies already established in the region, Oubri intends to take advantage of this dynamic driven by the Head of State to strengthen its economic attractiveness and accelerate its industrialization.
