Zabre Special Delegation Advocates for Unified Decentralized Services in Administrative Return

Ouagadougou: The Zabre Special Delegation (PDS), in collaboration with decentralized services and vital forces of the commune, ceremoniously marked the administrative return for 2025-2026 by raising the national flag at the environmental department. The PDS underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between decentralized state services and vital forces for the well-being of the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was initially slated to take place at a school 15 kilometers from Zabre but was relocated to the environmental department due to a bereavement. By 7:30 a.m., members of the special delegation, alongside decentralized services and vital forces, gathered for the ceremony. Water and forestry officer Genevieve Ouedraogo led the flag-raising to the national anthem.

During the event, Alain Boubie Bassono, the prefect and president of the PDS of Zabre, extended his best wishes for the new school year to education officials and emphasized the crucial role of education in Burkina’s ongoing revolution. Bassono highlighted the significance of education, the army, and other sectors as pivotal to the desired change by the authorities.

Bassono further stressed the importance of instilling values such as patriotism, work ethic, productivity, solidarity, and communal living in children. The PDS assured its support to the teaching staff to ensure a successful school year for the children of Zabre.

Lieutenant Boukari Salembere, head of the environmental service, expressed gratitude for hosting the flag-raising ceremony, highlighting it as a patriotic act that reinforces national unity.
