Yaadga: The winners are ready to brilliantly take on the cultural challenge at SNC 2026. At the end of the competitions which resulted in the selection of artists from all categories from Loroum, Yatenga, Zondoma, and Passore, the jury announced this Sunday, September 14, 2025, the results of the selected ambassadors from the Yaadga region who will take part in the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) 2026 in Bobo-Dioulasso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, several juries worked hard for two days to arrive at the judicious selection of the 461 artists who took part in the regional competition in the performing arts, culinary arts, and traditional sports. Before announcing the competition winners, the jury members congratulated the organizing committee, the regional authorities, and the people of the various provinces who came to participate in this cultural festival. The jury particularly highlighted some technical shortcomings noted by the artists and called for better supervision to enhance the performance of the stars and artistic ensembles.
The President of the jury, Moussa Sanou, and the regional director of the Ministry of Culture, Sebastien Monne, congratulated all the artists who took part in the competition and particularly encouraged the future winners, in view of the competitions’ list of winners, to continue their efforts to achieve the level of performance required for a high-level competition.
Qualified for the final phase of the 22nd edition of the SNC are several remarkable groups and individuals. In the BALLET category, the Naaba Yadga Junior Troupe from Ouahigouya will represent the region. The Manegrebenewende Samba Troupe is set to compete in the POPULAR CHOIRS category. For TRADITIONAL SONG STAR, Tao Oumarou from Seguenega has been selected. The Buudu Instrumental Ensemble from Ouahigouya will compete in TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.
In the TRADITIONAL DANCE ADULT POOL, the Ratnere Troupe from Zizon from Yako will showcase their talent, while the CDEJ BF 0619 Association from Yako will participate in the TRADITIONAL DANCE YOUTH POOL. The orchestra category will see Kogl Zanga from Ouahigouya competing.
The Sinignassigui Troupe from Ouahigouya will take part in the CHOREOGRAPHIC CREATION category. Bazie Alex from Ouahigouya has been chosen for the SLAM category. In CULINARY ART, Savadogo Limata from Passore will present a heavy dish, Yampa Marie Pierre from Loroum will offer a drink, and Kagone Mamouna from Loroum will provide a dessert.
Finally, 37 athletes have been selected for the TRADITIONAL SPORT category, rounding out the diverse group of participants set to represent Yaadga at the SNC 2026.
