Telecommunications company Unitel T+ launched Unitek, an innovation laboratory in Praia, on Wednesday, which aims to accelerate the business start-ups incubation and the transformation of ideas into business models.
According to the Director General of Unitel T+, Inoweze Ferreira, it is a bold service the operator is presenting and will work internal solutions for Unitel’s own work environment, but which is outward-looking.
“We have clearly identified that there is a gap in the market where we can bring together what business models are and turn them into active companies. Companies that create jobs, pay their taxes can really play an active role in the market and that’s what we’re going to do,” he said.
The head of Unitel T + recalled that the company is creating programs to help create a favorable, safe and collaborative ecosystem for the emergence of ideas and their realization. It points to the example of Unitel Criative Camp, which is a nationwide program that is already in its third edition, and for which more than 300 business start-ups and companies competed.
