Tuy: Citizen Monitoring Cleans Up Hounde Town Hall

Ouagadougou: The Hounde Citizen Watch organized a sanitation day on Sunday to clean up the town hall. The activity mobilized many men and women who weeded the courtyard and cleared the premises of plastic bags and other garbage to give it a new look.

According to Burkina Information Agency, one of the organizers, Modeste Bahan, who is also the community development focal point, stated that this day is part of the presidential initiative for community development, supported by the Progressive Popular Revolution (RPP). He indicated that it aims to improve the living conditions of the population, as desired by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

The choice of the town hall is justified, according to Bahan, by the fact that it is a public service used by all communities for the establishment of administrative documents. He thanked all participants, especially the women, for their strong mobilization, emphasizing that no one else would come to clean up and develop their living environment for them.

Modeste Bahan called on residents to work together and become more involved in community activities. Narcisse Boue, a printer in Hounde, expressed his satisfaction at having taken part in this civic activity and invited residents to become more involved in such initiatives to improve the living environment and promote a good life in the community.
