The Tropics Business Summit in the City of Praia aims to turn Cabo Verde into an investment point on the African continent, said on Monday the President of Tropics Group Lusophone, Lino Varela.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the Tropics Business Summit, which will take place in the nation’s capital until October 15, the official said that the choice of Cabo Verde is based on its geographical position and its potential to be a “focal point” of investment on the African continent.
According to Lino Varela, this is achieved with a network of contact and credibility achieved during the Tropics Business Summit.
“This credibility appears after the Summit, when we get companies to succeed,” said Lino Varela, undervaluing the moment of crisis the world is going through.
