Ouagadougou: A traditional practitioner mobilizes the population to maintain the Tansalga road. The traditional practitioner, Mahmoudou Ouedraogo known as “Manegre Naaba Koom”, mobilized the population of the commune of Tansalga, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, for an operation to treat a critical part of the road in the said locality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Tansalga road was in a state of disrepair, with areas of gullies making it difficult for users to pass. It was to address this issue that Mahmoudou Ouedraogo, also known as “Manegre Naaba Koom”, took the initiative to organize the community operation aimed at treating a critical section of the road.
This community action successfully closed holes, facilitating smoother traffic flow. The event was well-attended by traditional and religious leaders, as well as representatives from the youth and women groups.
In addition to the road maintenance efforts, the initiator provided 30 plants to the community, encouraging them to engage in environmental greening activities. This gesture highlights the importance of environmental sustainability alongside infrastructure improvement.
Prior to the road maintenance event, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Mahmoudou Ouedraogo extended his support to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by donating food and financial aid, including 40 bags of 50 kg of rice and 7 cans of 20 liters of oil, further demonstrating his commitment to the community.
