The edifice “Cor de Rosa” will house the Museum of Archeology – Institute of Cultural Heritage

The historic building “Cor de Rosa”, located on the Plateau, will be rehabilitated to house the Archeology Museum. Informed the Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC).

This project is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, responsible for the building as a State Heritage Site, and a national banking institution, as an investor, which will finance the rehabilitation of the building.

The intervention proposal, according to the same source, is guided by the conciliation between the preservation of the architectural heritage and the features of modern architecture, in a “clear temporal delimitation”.

The architect Gersílio Lima has already shared the project with the IPC, and the project proposal will now go to the City Hall of Praia l for approval.
