Kadiogo: The National Police General Directorate launched on Tuesday, in District 7 of Ouagadougou, the new “Mobile Police Station” concept to ensure a dynamic network across the national territory. Chaired by the Director General of the National Police, Thierry Dofizouho Tuina, Inspector General of Police, the concept of the “mobile police station” is an instrument that helps reduce security gaps and ensure dynamic coverage of the territory through a tactical and intelligent deployment system.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Director General of the National Police, Thierry Dofizouho Tuina, described the mobile police station as a truck that has been specially converted to address security issues within the municipal territory of Ouagadougou. He emphasized the importance of the initiative in bringing police services closer to the citizens to enhance their safety.
The mobile police station will be involved in various activities, including the issuance of Burkinabe National Identity Cards (CNIB),
document legalization, motorized patrols, public awareness initiatives, victim assistance, and intelligence gathering. Mr. Tuina highlighted the support from the Minister of Security, who plans to expand the fleet of such stations across the national territory.
During the launch, Mr. Tuina demonstrated the preparation of administrative documents, such as the legalization of birth certificate extracts and the issuance of the first CNIB receipt. One of the first beneficiaries, Mahamadi Ouedraogo, expressed satisfaction and gratitude, noting the convenience of having police services accessible for administrative tasks and security.
The initiative was welcomed by Laurent Bado, the 1st Vice-President of the Special Delegation and representative of the PDS of the 7th District, who pledged continued support for the program.
