Nahouri: The educational community of the Zecco departmental high school in Nahouri province organized team sports activities on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. These activities mark the return of team sports to the school.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the day commenced with a cross-country run through the streets of Zecco, followed by an aerobics session, setting the stage for the 2025-2026 school year’s activities.
Participants engaged in football matches, volleyball, and a game of petanque, gathering on the fields in a spirited display of teamwork. This event, which brought together the entire educational community, was overseen by the Physical Education and Sports (PES) teachers from the school, alongside their colleagues from Guelwongo and Ziou.
Principal Isidore Douamba commended the educational community for the successful execution of the event and urged education stakeholders to remain engaged throughout the school year to tackle upcoming challenges. Meanwhile, Etienne Sanglan, President of the special delegation (PDS) of Zecco commune, encouraged continued participation in such sports activities to promote the principle of “A sound mind in a sound body,” vital for effective learning.
Sanglan also reminded the educational community to embrace the theme of the national days of patriotic commitment and civic participation: “Order and discipline: I commit myself,” in support of the President of Faso’s initiatives. Regular sports activities are now scheduled for every Wednesday.
