The City Hall of Tarrafal, in the countryside of Santiago, will have in mid-June this year its first reception center for people in social vulnerability situations, as a way to give more attention to them.
The information was gave on Wednesday in a statement by the Mayor of Tarrafal, explaining that this “social response” carried out by the field of Education, Health and Social Cohesion, aiming to support individuals who, either by their life options, personal disorganization, or by processes of degradation of their health status (drug addiction, alcoholism, psychiatric or infectious disease), are in need of emerging housing.
The City Hall led by José dos Reis said at this time is underway the work for remodeling the space, through painting, coating on the facades, changing floors, replacing bathroom coverings and sanitary ware, changing kitchen furniture, reconfiguration of the space and recycling of furniture.
In addition to the reception center to be installed next to the social promotion services of the City Hall of Tarrafal, this municipality in the countryside of Santiago houses two additional social projects, namely Social Store and Municipal Care Center, called “Graciosa”.
