Take office/PR: Twelve foreign delegations and five heads of state in the investiture of José Maria Neves

Twelve foreign delegations of which five headed by heads of state will be at the special investiture session of the new President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, José Maria Neves, scheduled for today in the National Assembly.

According to the management map of the delegations to which Inforpress had access on Monday afternoon, the five heads of state are Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, from Portugal, José Lourenço, from Angola, Nana Akufo-Addo from Ghana, who is also president-in-office of ECOWAS, Macky Sall of Senegal and Umaro Sissosso Embaló, Guinea-Bissau.

All will be accompanied by the respective Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and other areas.

Information previously provided also showed the confirmed presence of the Presidents from the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Vila Nova, and Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, but these two countries will be represented by Delfim Neves, President of the Assembly and Gaudêncio Mohaba Messu, President of the House of Representatives, respectively.
