On Tuesday February 6, 2024,Separatists forces stormed Bamessing, an area in Ngoketundjia division, North West region, in search of relatives of government forces. They shot one person called Abraham, accusing him of working with Government forces. The Ambazonia fighters later kidnapped six persons, three relatives of the traditional ruler of Bamessing and three others said to be Mothers and fathers of government forces. The attack is said to have been carried out as revenge on the arrest of five civilians, a fighter who spoke in a video said. According to reports, Government forces recently arrested four men and one woman and took them to an unknown location. 'We give you two days to release the civilians, else we will kill all these men and women' a fighter said. Source: Cameroon News Agency
