Boromo: Boromo hosted the official inauguration of the Republican Security Company (CRS) camp this Saturday, September 13, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Security, Mahamadou SANA. This jewel constitutes a major step in strengthening the security system in the Bale province and its surrounding areas.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in his speech, Minister SANA recalled that this infrastructure meets a dual requirement: to bring security forces closer to the population and to provide the region with an operational tool adapted to the current security context. “In these times of national resilience, this camp concretely reflects the desire of the Government and the President of Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, to guarantee the peace and dignity of our fellow citizens,” he emphasized.
Valued at more than 867 million FCFA and located on 12 hectares, the camp includes a modern administrative building, an integrated police station, dormitories that can accommodate 200 police officers, a training room, a surveillance watchtower, a medical center accessible to the population, a borehole with a 20 m³ water tower and training infrastructure (obstacle course, training area and sports facilities).
Minister Mahamadou SANA expressed his gratitude to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a key partner in the project, represented at the ceremony by its Deputy Resident Representative, Eloi KOUADIO IV, as well as to the local authorities, mining companies (RoxGold, Endeavour Mining, PFO-Africa Burkina Faso), the Provincial Coordination of Citizen Watch, the Bale Women’s Association and all the people of goodwill who contributed to the success of this structuring project.
He called on the population to co-produce security: “It cannot rest solely on the shoulders of our Defense and Security Forces; it is everyone’s business.” He reminded the police officers of the CRS in Boromo of the values of discipline, probity and respect for human rights, urging them to be “sentinels of peace and justice.”
In inaugurating this new camp, Minister SANA reaffirmed the government’s determination to strengthen the State’s presence throughout the country and to build, alongside the people, a safer and more united Burkina Faso.
