The councilor for Culture of the City Hall of São Vicente assured this Monday, to Inforpress that the route of the Carnival parades in Mindelo should provide 3,000 to 3,500 places for the public to watch in “better conditions”.
Janísio Neves also informed that the process of assembling the stands is still in progress, missing part of Avenue Baltazar Lopes, also known as Rua Machado, and Park Amílcar Cabral (Praça Nova).
According to the same source, the works should be concluded in the next few days to guarantee between 3,000 and 3,500 seats for the public to watch the parades of the official groups and also of the Tropical Samba School in “better conditions and with more comfort”.
As for the sale of seat tickets, the president of the Independent League of Official Carnival Groups of São Vicente (LIGOC-SV) assured the program “Sociedade Aberta” on public television (TCV) that they should begin to be distributed from this Tuesday, 14.
