São Vicente: Ocean Race Park with “80 to 90%” of the works completed 11 days before the start of the race

The structures that will host the Ocean Race, in the Porto Grande cold container park, in the extension of pier three, are in the finalization phase, with about “80 to 90% ” of completed works.

Inforpress found today, on site, 22 days after the first guided tour, that the setting up of the events area and other structures to welcome visitors and participants of the Ocean Race, expected on the 21st and 22nd in São Vicente, already has the definitive form and that are in the “final touches”, according to information collected on site.

In the same way, as indicated to the journalists by the person responsible for the Logistics Coordination of the event, Ivan Santos, on the 20th of December last year, during the guided tour, the assembly of the pontoons, on pier three, for mooring the 11 confirmed sailboats. It departs from Alicante (Spain) in five days, is already underway and completes in the next few days.

The Ocean Race Park will host a pavilion dedicated to showing projects and works in the field of sustainability, with the participation of local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and others. Those will come from abroad, a science fair, coordinated by the Technical University of the Atlantic (UTA ), media center, stage for national and foreign bands and artists, food court with four restaurants, and handicraft fair.
