The Ombudsman starts today a three-day visit to the island of São Vicente for several meetings with the municipal executive and the living forces of the municipality.
José Carlos Delgado’s trip to the city of Mindelo, which takes place in a first phase from November 2 to 4, aims, according to information published by his office, to identify “better mechanisms” for dialogue and cooperation with local authorities and decentralized state services.
On the other hand, according to the same source, it intends to publicize the Ombudsman department, promote awareness of access to it and interaction with civil society organizations, in addition to visiting the Ribeirinha prison.
In addition to the meeting with the executive of the São Vicente City hall, José Carlos Delgado schedules to meet with the President of the Municipal Assembly, with the Regional Command of the National Police, with the Health delegate and several other authorities.
