São Vicente: Luís Teixeira is the new chairman of Electra’s board of directors

Engineer Luís Teixeira, who was chairman of the board of directors of the Center for Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance (CERMI), was elected, Thursday, new chairman of Electra’s board of directors.

According to a statement from Electra’s Office of Communication and Image, Luís Teixeira was elected at a general meeting held this morning at the company’s headquarters in the city of Mindelo.

Also on the board of directors are Manuel Jesus Silva and Francisco Amaro Monteiro, who are part of the previous management and who will occupy the positions of executive directors, Neusa Lima Delgado, who was the director of planning and control went to executive director and also the non-executive director, Delmira Sousa Veiga.

The Government has in hand Electra’s privatization project, which provides for the form of a demerger, and consequent disposal of shares representing the share capital of two companies, production and distribution of electricity.
