São Vicente: IGQPI train technicians to assist tour operators in sustainability certificationc

The Institute for Quality and Intellectual Property Management (IGQPI) is holding from this Monday and for three days, in Mindelo, a training for consultants to help hotels and other tour operators to obtain the sustainability certification.

The training programme, according to the executive administrator of IGQPI, Joana Flor, aims to prepare technicians to assist hotels and other tour operators who want certification, through this project called Bio-tur.

For this, according to the same source, there was a whole previous work for the elaboration of two national standards for the construction of a certification system on sustainability.

“This certification has behind issues already internationally recognized and define the criteria must be met by operators, hotel units and tourist destinations”, she explained, adding that the project is based on three aspects, economic, environmental and social.
