The coordinator of the Pro culture Resident Artists Show (MAR Procultura) considered it a “great pride” choosing Mindelo to host the first edition of the event that brings
together ten artists from African countries.
João Branco, during the press conference this Wednesday, in Mindelo, welcomed the selection of the Gulbenkian Foundation, promoter of the Pro culture program, which happens on São Vicente and from this Thursday will now receive the artistic show with representation of dance, theatre, music and cinema.
“It is a very intense program, in which from tomorrow we will have the opportunity to see three shows a day, and admission is absolutely free”, explained the same source, referring to the shows and performances, which will take place at the Academy, Academia Livre das Artes Integradas do Mindelo (ALAIM).
On the last day, Sunday 23rd, is scheduled a public presentation “Misturart”, at Praça Dom Luís, in the center of Mindelo, which will show the group work of the ten artists, which João Branco named it as a “shot in the dark” , but certainly will please the Mindelo audience.
