São Nicolau: Arlindo Soares is the winner of the “November Blue” cycling competition

Ribeira Brava: The cyclist from the island of São Nicolau Arlindo Soares won this Sunday the cycling race, on the route Tarrafal–Airport–Tarrafal, an event held as part of the “November Blue” celebrations promoted by the canning factory Sucla.

The athlete completed the race in 02 hours and 34 minutes, beating the competition of Eliezer Soares from the island of Sal who was in second and Nélio Cruz from São Vicente in third.

Speaking to Inforpress, the athlete showed his satisfaction for having won the race for the third consecutive year, noting that it was a “difficult” race with opponents who gave “a good fight”.

He also thanked the Sociedade Ultramarina de Conservas de São Nicolau (Sucla) for its “contribution” towards the development of cycling on the island.
