The social project “Casa dos Sonhos” in São Miguel, to be implemented by the Esperança Cabo Verde Foundation, Cabo Verdean businesswoman Mónica Sofia Duarte, resident in the Czech Republic, will start in the coming days, announced today the City Hall of São Miguel.
According to the same source, the project promoter was in São Miguel to meet with the five families to be benefited, having also visited their homes which will be the target of major interventions, in order to present them the project.
The Cabo Verdean businesswoman Mónica Sofia Duarte called for collaboration to achieve the ultimate goal of contributing to a better quality of life for these families.
The “Casa dos Sonhos” project aims to improve the homes of families living today in precarious conditions in order to guarantee them a safe, affordable, livable and comfortable house, and is budgeted at 35.000 euros (3.8 million escudos).
