Tenkodogo: Sand and granite dealers in Tenkodogo have made a substantial contribution to the presidential initiative, Faso Mebo, by donating over 2.5 million CFA francs. The president of the special delegation of the commune, Sami Berenger Pooda, received the donation, which includes 16 skips of sand and one skip of granite, from the Association of Sand and Granite Resellers of the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the association’s representative, Amadou Kanazoe, emphasized the collective responsibility of Burkinabe people towards national construction through Faso Mebo. He stated that the donation is valued at 2,575,000 CFA francs and mentioned that this is just the beginning of their contributions, with more actions to follow. Kanazoe expressed hopes for peace and divine protection for the country’s leaders.
Sami Berenger Pooda praised the solidarity shown by the sand and granite resellers, noting that the donation addresses a significant need. He acknowledged the challenges faced by these dealers and assured them that discussions are ongoing at the town hall to improve their working conditions. Pooda highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to find lasting solutions.
The president of the special delegation encouraged the association to persist in their efforts, adhering to regulations while also driving development in the commune’s villages.
