Espargos: The Independent and Democratic Cabo Verdean Union (UCID) has, as of this Monday, a new Regional Headquarters on the island of Sal, in Chã de Fraqueza, linked to Chã de Matias, a one of the most populous neighborhoods on the island.
UCID leader João Santos Luís, who ended a three-day visit to Sal today, took the opportunity to witness the inauguration of the new UCID headquarters.
In his speech on the occasion, he explained that the party had long been aware of the existence of “excellent potential” for development that the island of Sal offers its population, having, at the congress held last March, elected as a of the priorities an “effective dynamization” of the party in the island.
“So that its population can accept and understand that the UCID is a credible and determined option capable of making a different policy and directed to serve the interests of the island and its people”, he noted.
