Sal Island: Tututa School honors guitarist Luís Rendall who died 35 years ago

The City Hall of Sal and the Management Commission of the Tututa Évora Municipal Musical School (Emat), promote this Wednesday, the 23rd, a concert in honor to Luís Rendall with the performance of several local guitarists.

The concert to remember Luís Rendall, who died 35 years ago, considered an important figure of Cabo Verdean culture and a “mandatory reference” in the Cabo Verdean context, for new generations, should take place at 5:30PM at the Tututa School of Arts.

16 musicians among guitarists and pianists participate in this cultural activity, namely Ulisses Santos, Luís Vaz, Erickson Almeida, Danny Pires, Alcindo Ramos, Tchinin, Teo Cruz, Valdemiro Rocha, Osvaldo Rendall, Nelson Rendall, Kula de Santa Maria, Nelson Lopes, Manuel Ramos, Randy Cardoso, EMAT students, and Sandro Pimentel.

The same activity will be held on the 24th, Thursday, at the same time, this time in Kasa d ´Art, in the city of Santa Maria.

Luís Rendall was born in São Vicente, where he enjoyed his childhood and part of his life as a civil servant.
