Sal Island: APLOP Congress allows designing an activity plan for 2023 aiming at greater connectivity between ports

The President of Portuguese-speaking Ports (APLOP) Association, Ireneu Camacho, assured Friday, in Sal, that the holding of the III congress allowed him to design the plan of activities for 2023, aiming to greater connectivity between ports.

The III Congress of Portuguese-speaking Ports Association that had been taking place for two days in one of the hotels in the city of Santa Maria, under the slogan “New Challenges, New Opportunities for the Ports of Lusophony”, ended today with the organization making a positive balance of the event.

During these two days, under the Presidency of the Ports of Cape Verde, four panels were debated, namely, “Business development, new opportunities for ports”, “Green Ports of the Future – challenges and opportunities”, “Port law in CPLP countries” and “Promotion and Strategy for the Internationalization of CPLP Ports”.

The topics made it possible to create a space for reflection on the path of development and opportunities to strengthen cooperation ties between the nine CPLP countries that make up APLOP, as well as the various top companies in the maritime-port universe of Portuguese-speaking countries, and across borders, who joined the Association, with national and international guests.
