Two dozen restaurants confirmed their presence at the ‘Master Menu/Sal a Gosto’ food festival, taking place from 22th to 27th, at the Amílcar Cabral Memorial square, in the City of Praia, according to information provided by the organization.
Promoted by Infoplus, the company manages Turimagazine and Master Menu, the festival will be like a warm-up for ‘Sal a Gosto’ event, scheduled for next year, in the Sal Island, with the aim of promoting gastronomy and Cabo Verdean products as a tourist component.
The chairman of Infoplus’s board of directors, Carlos Morgado, told Inforpress at this time the company and its partners are finalizing the preparations for the event, which will take place in a giant tent, several days ago mounted at the Amílcar Cabral Memorial square, in Várzea.
There will be five days for tasting of dishes and various snacks made from national products. According to Carlos Morgado, the event should also have a ‘show-cooking’, promoted by the Chef Association of Cape Verde, and the exhibition by companies make the production and distribution of food and beverages in Cabo Verde, namely Tecnicil Indústria, Moave and Montanhês among others.
