Praia: Cape Verde Agricultural Fair starts Thursday with more than a hundred exhibitors

The Cape Verde Agricultural Fair starts Thursday in Praia, and runs until Sunday, with around 120 national and international exhibitors including farmers, breeders, agricultural entrepreneurs and artisans, was announced today.

In this edition, there will also be exhibitors of other activities related to the rural world, the agro-food industry and agro-processing, in an innovative context that favors traditional, gastronomic and commercial experiences.

In a press release, the Government explains that the objective is to promote and streamline the agribusiness sector in its various aspects and stages of the value chain, with a focus on greater resilience of the agricultural activity.

The fair will be a space for the demonstration and introduction of agricultural machinery and implements adapted and appropriate to our orography, seeds and plants adapted to our agro ecological condition, irrigation materials, packaging, and quality control systems. Moreover, the certification, marketing companies, distribution companies, commercialization in the internal market, with a view to promoting the entrepreneurship of the agricultural sector, reads in the document.
