The President of the Republic awarded, in the City of Praia, the director of the Sete Sois Sete Luas Festival, Marco Abbondanza, with the First Class of the Medal of Merit for dissemination and cultural exchange in the municipalities of the country.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, Marco Abbondanza, who was proud of gesture of the Cabo Verdean Head of State, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, shared the medal with Cabo Verdean and foreign musicians and artists participating in the Sete Sois Sete Luas Festival.
“With this, we celebrate a journey of several years and a gratitude to His Excellence the President of the Republic, for having encouraged us, since 2012, to extend the festival to the most peripheral islands of Cabo Verde”, he said, recalling that in these wanderings have found “beautiful talents”.
For this reason, he considered that today represents a joy for himself, as a representative of the Festival, and for all as they are part of the Sete Sois Sete Luas cultural movement.
