Portugal: Tcheka and Mário Laginha share a concert today in Lisbon

Cape Verdean musician Tcheka and Portuguese pianist Mário Laginha will be together, on Wednesday, in a concert at Theater São Luiz, in Lisbon, and intend to present the public with different genres and musical influences.

 

“Tcheka and Mário Laginha form a musical duo based on friendship and mutual respect for each otherand#39;s music”, justifies the organization of the event scheduled for 20:00, at Luís Miguel Cintra´s room.

 

According to the same source, the two bring together “diverse genres and influences and present a repertoire of original compositions, with melodies that combine guitar, piano and voice”.

 

Son of violinist Nhô Raul Andrade, Tcheka began singing and playing at the age of nine, but from the age of 16 he becomes more interested in batuque, but the musician himself describes his creations as “traditional Cape Verde with erudite influence and of

 

the jazz”.

 

Manuel Lopes Andrade, better known as Tcheka, is a composer and performer of all his works dating back to 2000.
