Poni: Thirty-six children, young people, and adults took part in a month of musical initiation and training during the 2nd edition of ‘Harmonie des Vacances’, which ended this Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the chaplaincy of the high schools and colleges of Gaoua, under the patronage of Dr. Combassere Alain Wilfried.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session, which began on July 30th, allowed participants to develop their musical skills in piano, drums, guitar, and music theory. The ceremony also saw the presentation of certificates to participants.
The initiative’s general administrator, San Luciano Coulibaly, explained that the goal is to keep children occupied during the holidays and prepare for the next generation. “For a month, we put the participants in practical situations, particularly alongside the cathedral choir on weekends,” he said, expressing gratitude to the partners and calling for more support.
Patron Dr. Combassere expressed his delight that the initiative had helped uncover new talents. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting “Harmonie Vacances” in order to “help children become the future we hope for.”
“Harmonie des Vacances” is supported by Dr. Combassere, promoter of the pharmacy of the Collines de Gaoua, in collaboration with the association Reveille-toi, the Sacre-C‚¬¦€š¬…€œur de Jesus choir, and the cathedral parish of Gaoua.
