Passore: The Song-naba Citizen Watch Inaugurates a Roundabout


Passore: The Song-Naba Citizen Watch Unit (CVC-SN) officially inaugurated a roundabout on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Song-naba, in the commune of Yako, to support the actions of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. This inauguration was placed under the sign of citizenship and living together among the sons and daughters of the locality.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the inauguration ceremony of the roundabout of the Citizen Watch Cell of Song-Naba (CVC-SN) on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in the Yaadga region was punctuated by various activities. It included a women’s cycling race, a blood donation drive, a tree planting event, and a gala match. With this new roundabout, the CVC-SN reiterates its support for the development initiatives of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.



In his speech, His Majesty, Naba-Kougri of Song-naba, expressed blessings to the youth and all the sons and daughters of the village who provided their support for the construction of the infrastructure. Naba-Kougri called on the population and especially the young people of the village to unity, civic vigilance, solidarity, and social cohesion, which characterize the CVC-SN.



The Song-naba Citizen Watch Unit was also honored by the presence and support of the national coordination of citizen watch associations of Passore and the Maneg-Moogho union from Ouagagougou. The chairman of the ceremony committee and president of the CVC-SN, Souleymane Sawadogo, said that the roundabout is a symbol of citizen mobilization and community resilience in support of the development initiatives of the President of Faso.



“By erecting this roundabout, the CVC-SN wanted to show its support for the development initiatives of Captain Ibrahim Traore and his commitment to local development and strengthening social cohesion in Song-naba,” added Mr. Sawadogo, chairman of the ceremony committee. He also thanked the sons and daughters of the village for their support in creating this space for raising awareness and bringing together young people. In his speech, he invited the villagers to make it a space of common pride, civic vigilance, and preservation of civic values.



It is worth noting that the village of Song-naba is located in the commune of Yako, Yaadga region.
