Parliament debates “National Strategy for the Eradication of Extreme Poverty 2022-2026”

Parliament debates on the 27th and 28th of this month in the second session the “National Strategy for the Eradication of Extreme Poverty 2022-2026” in Cape Verde.

According to the parliamentary agenda, the second plenary session this month will be marked by the debate with the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, on the Strategy for the Eradication of Extreme Poverty, which was presented by the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Democracy (MpD – power).

Still during this month’s session, proposals and draft bill will be taken to the plenary session to be discussed and approved, namely the project of law that approves the Maritime Code of Cape Verde in the final global vote. Moreover, the draft bill that makes the first amendment to Law No. 86/IV/93, of 26 June, which approves the Basic Law for Environmental Policy voting in its entirety.

The draft law approving the General Framework for Forestry Policy as a whole and the draft bill establishing the Legal Framework for the Marketing, Import, Distribution and Production of Single-Use Plastics will also be approved.
