Koulpelogo: On the occasion of the National Day of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, celebrated this Tuesday, October 14, 2025, several administrative, customary and security authorities called on students and the population to promote order, discipline, and solidarity, which are essential for a united and prosperous Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, themed “For order and discipline, I commit myself,” brought together numerous administrative and religious figures, as well as students from various establishments in the locality. Lieutenant Brice Dah, Head of the Ouargaye Gendarmerie detachment, delivered a message urging students to adopt exemplary behavior characterized by respect, discipline, and solidarity.
Lieutenant Dah emphasized the importance of respecting teachers, classmates, school rules, and state symbols, including the national flag. He also highlighted the need to protect public property, adhere to the highway code, preserve the environment, and raise awareness among parents about these civic values. Furthermore, he warned against negative behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse, early sexuality, violence, theft, and banditry, asserting that success is achieved through discipline, which he described as the key to a new, prosperous, and united Burkina Faso.
The representative of His Majesty Naaba Sanem Dima of Ouargaye urged the population to respect the country’s laws and regulations, while also calling upon the spirits of the ancestors to bless those working towards the return of peace in Burkina Faso. Mahamadou Soulama, President of the Special Delegation of Ouargaye and representative of the High Commissioner of the Koulpelogo province, read a message from the President of Faso. This message reiterated the significance of civic-mindedness, civic engagement, and discipline in building a strong and resilient nation.
The ceremony, highlighted by the raising of the national colors, served as a moment of unity and reflection on republican values. It concluded with a sense of patriotism and hope for a peaceful Burkina Faso.
