North of Santiago: Members of the MpD ask for acceleration in the implementation of the “Safe City” project in Santa Catarina

The deputies of the Movement for Democracy (MpD, power) for the North of Santiago constituency asked this Monday for the implementation of video surveillance within the scope of the “Safe City” project in Assomada, Santa Catarina.

The position was defended to the press by the spokesperson for the parliamentarians, Isa Miranda. She made a “positive assessment” of the decentralized parliamentary day of the Parliamentary Group (GP) of the MpD, in the context of the preparation of the debate with the Minister of Internal Administration, Paulo Rocha, which took place for three days in Santa Catarina, whose governor took part in it today.

He informed that the group was in several locations in Santa Catarina to find out “in loco” with the local authority, institutions, decentralized services and the population in general about the real problems and proposed solutions.

“We ask for acceleration in the realization of the “Safe City” project in Santa Catarina, especially in Assomada. Not only because we have a Health Center in a very busy neighborhood, Chão dos Santos/São Bento, but because it is the capital and largest municipality of the North of Santiago”, defended Isa Miranda, instead of installing a police station in the aforementioned neighborhoods of Assomada.
