New curator of the National Library promises new dynamics and wants to materialize the digital library project

The new curator of the National Library, Matilde Santos, said she will do everything to boost a new dynamic in this institution and materialize the ongoing projects, with emphasis on the implementation of the digital library and mobile library.

Matilde Santos made these statements Thursday during her speech, at the inauguration as a new curator of the National Library, a ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abrãao Vicente, in Praia.

The event, according to the curator, marks the beginning of a new cycle of the National Library, and paradigm shift based on the implementation of a new dynamic, bold, and challenging in the National Library.

“The expectations are high, with regard to the vision of the future, which is intended, namely the multiplication of means of access to the National Library of Cabo Verde, currently available, especially the digitization of the collection and the national bibliographic production in digital support, through an interactive portal that is under construction”, she declared.
