The minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has made some recommendations to FECAFOOT ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Cape Verde and Angola. During the preparatory meeting at the sports ministry on Wednesday, May 29, the minister pointed out that in fulfillment of 'the instructions of the President of the Republic', FECAFOOT will have to actively ensure that the national team led by Marc Brys is in good conditions for the two matches on June 8 and 11. Among the recommendations, the federation will be expected to make didactic material and sports equipment available for the team, ensure good collaboration during the encounters by sharing important information, and ensuring that ticket issues are resolved within the shortest time possible. FECAFOOT will also be tasked to ensure that the visiting country is well received in Cameroon for the match against Cape Verde scheduled at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on June 8. The presence of FECAFOOT representatives at the MINSEP meeting was lauded by the minister. He said the works which already started in a 'cordial atmosphere' will have to continue in the same conditions. The drama at Tsinga in Yaounde on Tuesday, had created an atmosphere of uncertainty over the upcoming FIFA World Cup fixtures. The doubts are still not completely cleared, however, Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi reiterated that 'the matches against Cape Verde and Angola will be played'. Source: Cameroon News Agency
