Bam: Naba Tougri of Pogoro offers food and equipment to internally displaced people in Rollo. The Naba Tougri of Pogoro (Rollo) provided food and non-food items to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of his commune during a ceremony in Kongoussi.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation included ten tons of corn, five tons of rice, three hundred mats, and three hundred blankets. These supplies are intended for internally displaced people in the municipality of Rollo. The handover ceremony was led by the High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ouedraogo, who advised the recipients to use the donation wisely and refrain from reselling the items. He also encouraged them to remain hopeful as efforts continue to restore peace in the country.
Naba Tougri of Pogoro emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion among the people of Rollo. He urged them to stay united as they await their return to their homeland. Meanwhile, the prefect and president of the Rollo special delegation, Sakema Kabore, expressed gratitude to the chief and encouraged the community to demonstrate solidarity. He invited those who received donations to share with others who were not included and called on others to follow the donor’s example.
Hamade Zonga, a representative of the beneficiaries from the village of Ibi, expressed appreciation for the Naba Tougri’s support. On behalf of the various communities, he reminded the authorities that their primary concern is the restoration of security in the Rollo commune.
