Loroum/mouloud: The Muslim community celebrated Mouloud on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Tansalga, under the leadership of Cheick Karamogo Mohamed Ouedraogo. The religious leader called on the faithful to prioritize children’s education to lay the foundations for lasting peace.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Muslim faithful of Loroum commemorated the Maouloud under the leadership of Cheick Karamogo Mohamed Ouedraogo. During the event, the religious leader emphasized the importance of education in maintaining peace and social cohesion within the community. “How should we preserve peace and social cohesion? This is the reflection we conducted during this session of prayers and worship of the Prophet,” he stated.
Cheick Karamogo Mohamed Ouedraogo addressed the critical role parents play in their children’s education, asserting that family harmony translates to community well-being. “Once everything is going well in the family, everything can go well in the community,” he explained. Hadja Azeta Zagara, a participant from Titao, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the family’s responsibility in children’s education.
The event also saw the vice-president of the special delegation of Titao, Oumarou Dialla, being honored with the title of “Cheick” by Imam Karamogo. Dialla expressed his gratitude and commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities that come with the title. “It’s an invitation to do better. And we will do everything to live up to it,” he remarked.
The commemoration session was held in the great mosque of Tansalga, with several guests in attendance, including administrative and religious authorities and Mamoudou Ouedraogo, a deputy in the Transitional Legislative Assembly.
