Music: Paulino Vieira back to the stage in 2023

The Cabo Verdean singer-songwriter Paulino Vieira will back to the stage in 2023 at a concert scheduled for February 20, 2023, at the Cultural Center of Belém (CCB), in Lisbon, reported Público newspaper on Wednesday.

Out of the stage for years, the Cabo Verdean singer, composer, producer and arranger Paulino Vieira will be back on stage in a concert that fits the celebration of the Sul do Mundo Platform, in its ten years of existence as a cooperative that brings together professionals in the field of production and artistic programming and works with artists from various areas, as Fausto Bordalo Dias and Selma Uamusse.

Born Paulino Jesus Santos Vieira, on August 31, 1955, in the village of Praia Branca, on the island of São Nicolau, Cabo Verde, in a family of musicians, Paulino learned in childhood to play the guitar, cavaquinho and violin, accompanying his father, Matias dos Santos Vieira, at parties and serenades.

At the age of 9, Paulino Vieira moved to São Vicente, where he studied at the Salesian College, there receiving musical training and learning to play clarinet, flute, piano and other instruments.
