Municipal Police in Koudougou Intensify Eviction Operations for Road Safety

Koudougou: Municipal police intensify eviction operations for safety and traffic flow Following the application of the government measure requiring the clearing of at least two meters of the road right-of-way after the gutters, the municipal police of Koudougou have stepped up their efforts since this week.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after a phase of intense awareness-raising and warnings, security teams are now increasing targeted enforcement operations to ensure responsible use of public space and improve the flow of urban traffic. Despite constant reminders, the situation on the ground remains worrying. Last week, inspections of several main roads revealed continued non-compliance with regulations.

On Wednesday, a targeted check carried out on the section from the grounds of the sector 1 office to the intersection of the regional tax office resulted in an exemplary sanction. A company selling aggregates and bricks, despite multiple warnings, was subjected to the full force of the law. With the support of the municipal technical services department (DSTM), the equivalent of five truckloads of sand illegally dumped on the sidewalk was removed. This seized material was handed over to the Faso Mebo agency for use in community service projects.

Through this action, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Koudougou, Amedee Pare, reaffirms his unwavering commitment to improving the living environment and ensuring road safety. He reminds all citizens of the absolute necessity of strictly respecting the regulations in force for the well-being and harmony of the city.
