MpD accuses PAICV of creating suspicion on the process of regularizing precarious employee contracts

The MpD parliamentary group accused this Monday, in Mindelo, the PAICV of raising suspicions about the process of regularizing precarious contracts in public administration, which “will not harm any employee nor exclude anyone”.

The Spokesman, Vander Gomes, today, in a press conference, reacted to statements maded by the member of the National Political Commission of the African Independence Party of Cape Verde (PAICV, opposition), Fidel de Pina, who considered the methodology “unfair”, as it was a civil servants with “10, 15, 20 years or more of work” who will now be submitted to tenders to regularize their situation.

According to the deputy of the Movement for Democracy (MpD, power), the “only injustice” related to workers with precarious ties “was caused by the PAICV, which placed, during its governance, all this workforce without rights, in a situation of precariousness, with the sole intention of making young Cape Verdeans hostages and dependents on the party”.

“The question that they are against holding public tenders, brought by the PAICV, about the regularization program, is a false question raised, solely and exclusively with the aim of casting suspicion on the process”, he considered.
