Mosteiros: City Hall sets goal to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 by 2022

The mayor of the Mosteiros, Fábio Vieira, said today that the City Hall he led has set a goal, by 2022, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, to provide water and sanitation for all.

According to him, within the framework of the Decentralization Fund and with the partnership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the City Hall intends to complete all home water connections to families who do not yet have access to clean water.

As Mosteiros is among the three municipalities with the highest coverage rate of sanitary facilities, the City Hall also wants to ensure access to the bathroom to the entire population from Relva (south) to Atalaia (north).

In addition to the construction of bathrooms, at this time the City Hall has ongoing construction/rehabilitation works of 15 low-income family homes, but also urban requalification works in several localities at the municipality.
