The Minister of Finance and Business Development, Olavo Correia, this Thursday pointed out the focus on the qualification of human resources as Cape Verde’s biggest challenge, which could be overcome if there is a strong focus on Higher Education.
Olavo Correia made these statements while presiding over the ceremony for the presentation and socialization of the State General Budget proposal for 2023 to the academic community of the University of Cape Verde (UNICV), held this Thursday.
The official stressed that Cape Verde has a great human potential that has become a nation, stressing that even though it is a small country with limited resources, but that if its strategy is anchored in the qualification of its human resources, it can believe in a better future.
However, he recognized that for this to happen, It needs an excellence in the quality of education, from pre-school to higher education, noting that there is no more reproductive investment than investment in the qualification of human resources.
