Malfunction: ARME warns CV Movel to meet obligations and asks for ompensation to customers

The Multisectoral Economic Regulatory Agency (ARME) formally warned the operator CV Movel on Monday to comply with legal obligations regarding the safety and integrity of electronic communications networks and asked for compensation to customers.

According to a press release from ARME sent to Inforpress, the “deprivation of services” to users during all day on February 16 and a few hours on the 18th, a situation which has been justified by the company’s management with a technical problem.

“ARME requires the CVTelecom Group to send within 72 hours after receipt of the letter a detailed compensation plan to customers for all discontinued services, in accordance with the duration of the failure of each service and a detailed report on the incident, in accordance with Article 52C of Legislative Decree No 7/2005”, mentioned the note.

The same source also said that the Regulatory Agency believes that the facts happened on February 16 and 18 require to hold an external audit, the security of CVMovel’s networks and services, at the operator’s expense.
