“Prometo Nunca Desistir” (I promise never to give up) is the title of Ariana Monteiro’s book, which portrays a story of struggle, love and overcoming the protagonist against cancer, released this Thursday in Praia.
In the book, presented by the lawyer Janira Hopffer Almada who also prefaced it, the author reports, in the first person, her personal journey and the way she faced breast cancer, from the diagnosis in 2014.
“A story of courage and overcoming, of a woman who, being mother and wife, daughter and sister, revealed, first of all, a human being who took courage as a form of struggle, having faith as a true shield,” reads the book’s preface.
In a statement to the press, Ariana Monteiro said the book is her “story of overcoming”, which begins from the time she was diagnosed with breast cancer to treatment and recovery.
