Koosin: The Secretary General of the Koosin province, Firmin Bassole, invited the population, this Tuesday, September 2, 2025, during the raising of the colors at the provincial directorate of Water and Forests, to more patriotic commitment in self-sacrifice at work.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the solemn rotating ascent of the colors took place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the provincial directorate of Water and Forests, in the presence of officials and heads of services, traditional and religious authorities, and the vital forces of Koosin. The participants sang the national anthem in chorus to accompany the raising of the flag, a powerful symbol of Burkinabe identity, history, and values.
The Secretary General of the Koosin province, Firmin Bassole, on behalf of the High Commissioner, welcomed the strong mobilization of the population around the national flag. He also paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), who, thanks to their fighting spirit and bravery, enabled the populations to carry out their field work and economic activities.
“With each raising of the colours, we have a duty to remind the population of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP) which has been underway since October 2022 under the leadership of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore,” stated Mr. Bassole.
The Lieutenant of Water and Forests, Assimou Toe, on behalf of his hierarchy, thanked all the participants for their commitment to the provincial management. “Today, more than ever, we cannot simply watch the train of history go by while criticizing the driver. We are all on the train, and we must all contribute to moving it forward through our commitment,” emphasized the Lieutenant of Water and Forests.
