Jorge Carlos Fonseca makes a five-day visit to Brazil where he will receive the title of Doctor Honoris Causa

The President of Cabo Verde, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, will be visiting Brazil between July 29 and August 2, with an agenda which includes a meeting with his Brazilian counterpart, Jair Bolsonaro.

According to the Cabo Verdean Head of State, the meeting with Jair Bolsonaro is scheduled to take place on the morning of July 30, Friday, and will be followed by a wider meeting with delegations from both countries.

On the same day, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, who will be accompanied on this official visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo Soares, will have a reception/ lunch, at the Itamaraty Palace.

“The next day I will be, at the invitation of the Governor of São Paulo, João Dória, at the reopening of the Portuguese Language Museum, which suffered a fire and now, after some reconstruction time will be reopened on the morning of the 31st,” he said.
