Handball: New coach conducts first training of the women’s senior team aimed at the CAN

The new Cabo Verdean women’s handball coach, Ana Seabra, conducted Monday at the Vává Duarte Sport Pavilion in the city of Praia, the first training session of the national team, in preparation for the 24th African Cup of Nations (CAN).

Speaking to Inforpress, after this first training, which featured 18 players, Ana Seabra said this first week will serve to evaluate the group, with daily training.

Ana Seabra also said she has scheduled a trip to the Sal Island to see if some players can integrate the national team work, since the goal is to complete the group later this week.

“Basically this week work is to know a little more the athletes and schedule some situations already thinking about the CAN and the needs I am getting during the training”, said the coach, stating the group will be complete later this week, so that from next Monday, the 24th, the work is in “bubble system”.
