Government praises BCV initiative for providing reading room for academics and university students

The Minister of Education praised the Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV) initiative for making available its Reading Room, inaugurated this afternoon, to academics, university students and researchers.

Amadeu da Cruz, who spoke to the press after the inauguration of the BCV Reading Room, said it was a “great management of the Bank’s integration within its dynamics”. He has called on academics to make better use of the space which has an extraordinary collection in the economic area.

“It is an excellent BCV initiative which opened the library to academics, university students, researchers and science.

The BCV has historically been an institution has participated in the history of the country’s development in all fields” he said, ensuring that in addition to culture, the BCV has also promoted the country’s economic stability.

For the Bank of Cabo Verde governor, Óscar Santos, this is a step the institution take after 38 years of the creation of the library, has a documentary collection with about 8.000 titles.
